Changing to Quarterly Timescales |

The maximum timescale limit in Prodev is 300 periods. By default Prodev works in months giving a timescale capacity of 25 years. If projects become lengthy or exceed this limit you can use quarterly rather than monthly timescales giving 3 times the timescale capacity. To do this use the Convert to Quarterly command found on the Convert menu (top left corner of the screen). This will compress the cashflow horizontally amalgamating groups of three months into single quarters. When done all references to months (and month numbers) will be quarters (and quarter numbers). Note: Cashflows cannot be converted to quarterly if items have been re-timed or manually entered using the Detailed Timing or Cashflow-Edit sections. Note: Once you switch to quarterly timescales, you cannot revert back to monthly timescales. We recommend saving your project as a backup file (using a different filename) before changing from monthly to quarterly timescales. You should also be aware that interest compounding can change when you switch to quarterly periods.
