There are 30 of these in all and they are used for costs that take place at the start of a project (for example Finance Arrangement Fees, Planning Fees, Survey etc.). Initial Payments are entered as amounts.
As the title ‘Initial Payment’ is somewhat meaningless you will probably wish to provide your own titles to suit the context of your appraisal. Therefore if ‘Initial Payment’ would be better named ‘Planning Fee’ or ‘Survey Fee’ you can re-title it as required.
If you find that you are continually having to enter the same titles for each appraisal then consider using a template which will save you having to do this each time. This is described in the section ‘Saving and Opening Files and Templates’.
Note that Initial Payments do not attract Professional Fees (e.g. Architect's Fees).
