The Print Settings dialog box allows you to change margins, font style and size, the types of report being printed and their appearance.  Note that different settings can be applied to the Appraisal and the Cashflow; the separate settings can be viewed using the Margin/FontSize option buttons at the top of the dialog box.

Page settings vary depending on country and printer, and are controlled with your printer's setup commands.  Use the Printer Setup button to access these.  You may need to refer to your printers documentation.

The Defaults button reinstates Prodevs factory settings for printing.  These have been designed to give the best results in most cases.  Whilst there are many fonts available for use in your reports you will find that the Arial standard font to be the most suitable for the many different types of printers available.

There are other settings applicable to printing, controlled by the checkboxes on the left hand side of the Print Settings dialog box and explained below.  Click on the checkbox to tick (activate) or un-tick (deactivate) the chosen item.

Exclude Date from Title

If an Appraisal Title has been provided then, by default, the current date will also appear as part of the title provided.  Tick this box to prevent the date from appearing as part of the title at the top of each page.

Automatic Orientation

This controls the orientation of the reports (i.e. Portrait or Landscape).  Automatic Orientation overrides the Printer Setup settings and sets Appraisal (and Sensitivity) reports as being Portrait and Cashflow reports as being Landscape.  This is the default setting.  If you deactivate this option then you can manually adjust the orientation using the Printer Setup button.

Print Appraisal / Cashflow

By default Prodev will print both the Appraisal and the Cashflow.  If you wish to print either one or the other type of report then you can deactivate the Appraisal or Cashflow checkbox as appropriate.  These options do not apply (and will not display) when Sensitivity reports are being printed.  Note that both these options are set as active each time you access the Print/Preview screen from the Data List.

Update Export Settings

Some print settings are shared with the Microsoft Excel and Word Export facility (described later in this section), notably Fonts, Font sizes, Orientation and the type of report printed.  If this box is checked then any changes made will update the similar settings used for Export.  If you wish to maintain separate Export settings then deactivate this item.
