Prodev Overview

Prodev for Windows is primarily designed as a tool to assist in assessing real estate development viability.

The principal feature of Prodev is that it combines the role of Development Appraisal and Project Cashflow within one program.  Every time the appraisal is changed, the cashflow is updated and vice versa.  The appraisal is set out in a classic format so as to be clear and understandable.  The cashflow reflects the exact timing of the appraisal transactions and calculates interest on a monthly or quarterly basis then sends the finance cost back to the appraisal.

Prodev has the capability to analyse almost any type of development, but is mostly designed to address property appraisal at project inception, before construction commences and cashflows need tracking with an accounting, project management or similar system.

Prodev for Windows is the successor to a line of development software that has been enhanced since the first of our programs was launched in 1983.  Shortly after that we introduced a cashflow partner for Prodev and in 1993 these programs merged into an integrated development analysis and cashflow program.  In 1997 this became Prodev for Windows with further releases in 2001 and 2006.

Versions 4022 and 4023

This manual is primarily aimed at Prodev versions 4022 and 4023.  Where applicable the differences between these versions has been noted in the documentation.  You can check you Prodev version number using the Data List menu by selecting ‘Help’ then ‘About’.
