Click on the Data List File menu and select either ‘Save File’ or ‘Save File As’. The difference between these two methods is explained as follows. When you create an appraisal for the first time it will not have a filename until you save it. If you open an appraisal file then Prodev will take note of its filename. The point to note is whether or not the appraisal has a filename allocated to it at the time of saving it. Save File When you select ‘Save File’ then Prodev will establish whether or not the appraisal already has a filename. If there is a name present then Prodev will automatically save the file using that filename without displaying the File Save dialog box. If a filename has not yet been provided then the File Save dialog box will display so that you can enter the appropriate filename. Save File As Displays the File Save dialog box regardless of whether a filename has been provided or not. This is useful if you wish to re-name the file or save it to a different location. You will probably be familiar with the format of the File Save dialog box as it is the standard file save method used in numerous other Windows applications. Simply type in the appropriate filename where indicated then click the ‘Save’ button.
