This menu provides the following Data List settings. Capitalise Titles Activates or de-activates the auto-capitalisation of Data List titles. When items are re-titled in the Data List, Prodev will convert the title to capital case if this menu item is ticked. For example "survey fee" entered in lower case will be changed to "Survey Fee". This is done to retain consistency for all the titles in the appraisal and cashflow report. It does not always work for abbreviations, for instance if you want a title to read “NHBC” rather than “Nhbc”. When auto-capitalisation is de-activated then Prodev will accept the format that you provide and will not alter the case of the text. Deduct Unpaid Rents as Cost This relates to Unpaid Rent / Tenant Inducements (see: 'Yields and Deductions' in the section 'The Data List categories explained'). By default any shortfall in rental income at the time of the investment sale will be deducted from the investment value at source. If you wish to show the value of the shortfall as an addition to cost rather than a deduction from sale then tick this menu item. Plots as Hectares One of the unit options for building costs, rents and sales is the ability to calculate costs and sale revenues based on a price per plot. By default the plot type is assumed to be Acres. If you wish to work in Hectares then tick this item. Note: This merely changes the unit titles in the Data List and the appraisal report, it does not convert any values.
