Set Phases

Allows you to specify the maximum number of separate phases within your project.  The limit as to total number of phases is 99.

Phase arrow buttons

These are only available if phasing has been implemented and allow you to select the phase column you wish to edit.  You can also use the keyboard cursor left and right keys to change phase.

Month left/right buttons

Used to increase or decrease the value of the selected timescale item.  This is an alternative to typing in the value. If no phasing has been applied then you can use the keyboard cursor left and right keys to do this; if phasing has been applied then Ctrl+Cursor left and Ctrl+Cursor right have the same effect (i.e. holding down the Control key then using the cursor left or right keys).

Reset Minimum button

Resets the Minimum Timescale duration in months to its default value of 1 month.  See the earlier description 'Minimum Timescale duration in months'.

Accrual / Debt buttons

By default when you enter interest rates they will be treated as a Debt Rate (interest on negative balances) however you can also enter Accrual interest.  This button switches between these two entry modes.  Notice that when in Debt Rate mode the button will be labelled 'Accrual' and when in Accrual Rate mode the button will be labelled 'Debt'.

Edit Item / All buttons

Normally when entering interest rates the entire interest rate column will be highlighted meaning that any interest rate entered will be applied to all months in your cashflow.  If you wish to enter interest for individual months then use this button to change the editing method so that you can apply interest rates to individual periods.  To revert back to overall interest entry then use this button again.  Notice that when in overall edit mode the button will be labelled 'Edit-Item' and when in individual edit mode it will be labelled 'Edit-All'.

Detailed Timing button

Displays the Detailed Timing screen where separate timescales can be applied to individual cost and sale items in your appraisal.  Overall debt interest rates can also be entered here.  It draws its default values from the Time/Finance section.  See the section 'Detailed Timing' for further information.

Cashflow-Edit button

Note: In Prodev version 4022 this button is labelled Cashflow, its function is similar.

Displays the Cashflow-Edit screen where individual cost and sale timescales can be edited using a spreadsheet style interface.  It draws its default values from the Time/Finance section.  See the section Cashflow-Edit for further information.

Close button

Exits the Time/Finance section.
