Viewing Prodev Reports You can preview the Appraisal and Cashflow by clicking the ‘Print/Preview’ button on the Data List (or Print/Preview on the Data List File menu).
Prodev will display either the Appraisal or the Cashflow first, depending on which one was last viewed. Normally the Appraisal displays first. Click the ‘View Cashflow’ button to display the Cashflow report. Use the ‘View Appraisal’ button to return to the Appraisal display. Sensitivity Analysis reports are previewed immediately following calculation. Using Normal View and Page Layout There are two ways of viewing reports, these are Normal View and Page Layout. All reports will initially display in Normal View, this displays the entire report which you can navigate using a spreadsheet-style cursor. The Page Layout mode shows how the reports appear in printed format. To switch from Normal View to Page Layout mode click the ‘Page Layout’ button. When in Page Layout mode use the ‘Normal View’ button to return to Normal View. The report title (described later in this section) will only display in Page Layout mode. Printing Prodev Reports When in Print/Preview mode, click the ‘Print’ button. This will first display the Print Settings (explained below). Check or alter the settings as required, then click the ‘Print’ button to proceed with printing.
Copying and Pasting from Prodev Reports to other applications Parts of Prodev reports can be copied and then pasted to other applications. The copying is done by selecting a block of text, which you can do when viewing the report using the Prodev Print/Preview screen in Normal View mode. First of all you need to define what part of the report you wish to copy. Selecting a block of text Position the cursor on the top left part of the portion you wish to copy, then highlight the block of text for copying. This can be done using either the mouse or the keyboard. Using the mouse Hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse. According to the direction of drag you will notice that horizontal and/or vertical blocks of text are highlighted. Using the cursor keys Hold down the Shift key and whilst doing so use Cursor Up, Down, Left, Right to highlight the block of text. Keep the Shift key depressed during this operation. Copying a block of text Having selected a block of text you need to copy it to the Windows Clipboard. When the block of text is highlighted press Ctrl-C (hold down the Ctrl key and type the letter ‘c’). The text will be copied to the Windows Clipboard and made available for other applications to use. Pasting the copy to text into other applications Ensure the destination program is active then press Ctrl-V (hold down the Ctrl key and type the letter ‘V’). The destination program may have its own menu or shortcut key that has the same effect. For Word and Excel use Right Click and then Paste. Use with applications other than Excel or Word is a matter of experimentation.
