By default Prodev will look for files in the folder called PDWIN32FILES under My Documents. If Prodev appears to be looking for its files elsewhere then this is because the default setting has been subsequently changed. If you have upgraded from an older version of Prodev version 4 then the default path may be set to PDWIN32FILES on the C:\ Drive.
If you wish to look for Prodev files stored in another location (this can be an external disk or a network drive as well as other folders on the local hard disk drive) then use the ‘Look In’ dropdown found at the top of both the File Open and File Save Dialog boxes.
This will display a standard Windows Browse for Folders ‘tree’ allowing you to locate the folder of your choice. You will probably be familiar with the format as it is the standard method used in numerous other Windows applications. This will change the folder used for the remainder of this Prodev session but when you next launch Prodev it will revert to the default file location. If you wish to make the change permanent you will need to change the default file location.
